Proceeds benefit the 9/11 Fallen Heroes Project.
On August 30th at 7:00PM, Joe Turner, the magician, will be MCing the show.
The format will be like The Price is Right. We will call 25 singers randomly to perform. While votes are being tabulated, we will have a moment of silence and a guest singer will sing God Bless the USA.
The winner of the contest will receive $1500.00.
Only 25 singers will be chosen from all applicants.

Beth Johnson
With over 21 years of experience as a music educator in Cobb County, Beth Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for vocal excellence to the judging panel. A seasoned performer, she has been a proud member of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chorus for 17 seasons, most recently returning from an international tour to the UK and Ireland with the ensemble. In addition to her work in the classroom and on stage, Beth serves as the Production Director at her church, where she combines her love of music, technology, and ministry. She is deeply committed to nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of vocal artists through both performance and education.

Scott Lamphere
Active member of the GSOC has also been involved in his local church as a worship leader in choirs, ensembles, praise teams and community musical productions.
Scott has experience as a judge and adjudicator for music, talent and fitness competitions.
Professionally, Scott is a local Realtor and has been executive level positions in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He has served as a Corporate Chef in the culinary sector. He is a published cookbook author and consultant having served as tasting and sensory judge in numerous food and beverage competitions across the country.
Married to “the best wife ever,” Kim for 40 years, they have 2 married daughters-Lindsay and Madison and 4 grandkids who all live in the East Cobb / Woodstock area.

Suzanne Tucker
Suzanne Tucker has served as the Executive Director of the Georgia Symphony
Orchestra since January 2023.
In addition to her work with the GSO, Suzanne currently serves as the Director of
Music at Grace Resurrection Methodist Church, where she leads worship arts
programming and directs choral music. She brings more than 18 years of
experience in church music, having served in various leadership roles ranging
from youth and children’s choir director to overseeing traditional worship and
creative arts ministries. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her
strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and ability to build vibrant,
mission-driven music programs.
Suzanne also spent nearly a decade as a public school music educator, teaching
students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Her energetic teaching style
and innovative curriculum design earned her the title of Teacher of the Year in her
first year of teaching.
More recently, Suzanne founded Glitter Bomb, a bespoke party décor and
planning company. Within its first year, the business attracted major corporate
clients and became a profitable venture, further showcasing her creative and
entrepreneurial spirit.
She earned her Master of Music Education from the University of Georgia, where
she supervised undergraduate student teachers as a graduate assistant, and
holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Shorter College, where she studied
conducting with Dr. John Ratledge and performed with the acclaimed Shorter
College Chorale.
Suzanne lives in Marietta with her husband, Jeffrey, and their two sons, Jackson
and Will. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, photography, travel, and throwing
an epic theme party.

Wally Ziprick
Wally can be described as a musician and an outdoorsman dedicated to service. His musical talent can be traced back to Tampa in 1968 where he began playing the guitar, followed by the piano, then the clarinet, and finally choir. In 2007, he auditioned for the GSO Chorus and is currently into his 19th season.
His love for the outdoors was fostered in the Boy Scouts of America where he would achieve the Eagle Scout Award. This love for the outdoors and a call to service led to a career in the US Army Reserve where he would retire as a Major. Today, he continues to enjoy camping along with the shooting sports, fly fishing, goldpanning, camping, growing tomatoes or simply building a fire.
Work wise, this call to service also led to obtaining a CPA certificate and eventually, self-employment. Known for his attention to detail, Wally specializes in helping individuals and small businesses with their income taxes and in the performance of business valuations. He lives in Kennesaw with his wife Kim and a 2-year-old girl with four paws named Dixie.

Sara Branch
Sara has been involved in music for most of her life. She started playing piano at age 5, switched to playing cello at age 9, while also singing in church and community children’s choirs.
During college she acted and sang in numerous Broadway style productions which she continued after college. Also after college, she started taking voice lessons to learn the operatic “bel canto” style of singing. She continued singing in church and community choirs while using this new style. She also trained to be an operatic adjudicator.
In her business career, she has been in sales and training for 20+ years. She currently owns her own training and development company specializing in small to medium businesses helping them improve their sales.
She joined the GSO chorus when it began in 2008 and has sung several solos with the chorus. She is looking forward to the GSO season starting in August since it will be the 75th anniversary of GSO.
Personally, she and her husband have 5 grown children and three grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and taking their Goldendoodle with them to the beach.
